this is a 3.15 unity with 3.2c call manager. system went online the other day.
callers are complaining that the main greeting sounds garbled at times.
calls to phones sound fine. i've also called a phone, fwd'd to voice mail & heard the subscriber greeting fine but the unity system message behind it was garbled.
does anyone have any idea what's causing this?
thanks

Check the audio file from the link below - do the greetings sound 'garbled' in the same way?
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/788/AVVID/Robotic_audio_from_cat6k.wav
If so, the issue is http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCdx36894
The audio troubleshooting page here goes into more detail on 'garbled' messages:

gateways are mgcp 3620's.
is the mgcp playout adaptive 60 40 200 command need to be added or is it the default value?

The command should be added to workaround the issue on the mgcp gateway.
