Netbois over VPN with tacacs authentication

I have configured a VPN using client v3. It is configured so that upon vpn client connection a username and password box is authenticated against a tacacs server. However, this works ok but netbios (drive mapping) then fails. It works fine when not useing the vpn client or when using the vpn client without the authentication ??

Hi! Netbios trafffic which is broadcast in nature is not encapsulated by IPSec. Thus, you require a WINS server for mapping drives on a MS network. Also, you could check to see if the client PC is getting correcr WINS and DNS information. (Go to cmd prompt on your client PC and enter ipconfig /all ). You also need to confirm if 'Cisco VPN Client Start Before Login utility' is being used.
