Etherchannel

Hi

i have bundled 2 gig port to form a etherchannel and it workign fine

but when i use this command sh etherchannel detail

Port state = Up Mstr In-Bndl

Channel group = 100 Mode = On/FEC Gcchange = -

Port-channel = Po100 GC = - Pseudo port-channel = Po100

Port index = 0 Load = 0x55 Protocol = -

Age of the port in the current state: 18d:02h:44m:25s

Port: Gi1/2

Why is the Mode= on/FEC...y is it showning FEC when it has to be GEC...right am doin a layer 2 etherchanneling

Please throw some light on it

Good catch. It is a cosmetic bug, i suppose. May be Cisco uses the same code to display both the GEC and FEC, hence this display. You could contact cisco to open a bug if it really bothers you!
