3640 Router is not recognizing VoIP modules

Is there any reason that a 3640 router does not recognize the VoIP modules I have slotted? They are currently running 12.2 IOS. I have checked to make sure that the router's functioning correctly. I don't think that all three of the modules would go bad at the same time. Is there a specific command or way to enable the router to see these modules? Thanks in advance for any help.

Give a show version and paste the output, when u respond back.

What voice modules are you using. Mostly the IOS that you have is not supporting voice. You ll mostly need to upgrade to a voice supporting IOS train.

The full IOS number is 12.2(15)T2 and I am trying to use VIC 2FXS and a VIC 2FXO module. I've tried looking through Cisco's product information and they should be compatible. It is still showing that I have 4 Ethernet modules though. The lights are staying amber after power on. Is there a way to test the modules? Show ver is as follows:

Your IOS is "c3640-ix-mz" which is IP/H323 feature set. You need a "Plus" version of IOS to support the VICs.

I have IP Plus on 2620 routers, with FXO ports; the routers are configured as H.323 gateways.

Hope this helps.

Also confirm that you have the voice cards (i.e. the FXS and FXO) installed on a good voice module. The cards will have to be installed on a voice module like NM-2V or NM-1V.
