Backup Exec and backing up every bytes ?

Hi,

Other than Unity, SQL and Exchange data, does Backup Exec can REALLY backup everything else meaning, Win2k OS, Unity software, Exchange software and others ?

So if I have a server crash (HW) and need to re-install Unity on a different server but with same HW than the first one, will this work ? For example, will it copy/install RAID drivers automatically, etc..

TIA,

Peter

You'll probably want to check out their web site for details but yes, this will work - they do have disaster recovery systems that can restore the HD from scratch but the more common scenario (and the method we've tested in house) is to reinstall Windows (along with all appropriate device drivers and the like) and then install the Backup Exec software and then do a restore of your backup.
