I really need advice on this

Ok - your kinda in a pickle.

First off try to pursuade your boss to get that contract. I know it kinda stinks to paid for fixes that perhaps should of been never made in the first place but thats life.

The thing I noticed is that you listed a bunch of similar routers, 2 2500 series and 2 1700 series routers. Cisco distributes IOS by router series, ie 1 version of IOS that runs on a 2511 will work on a 2514(memory provided), same with the 1700 family and the 2950's switches you listed, the 2924 is different. Also I noticed that you've listed 12.1 versions of IOS. You might run into memory problems if you go to 12.2 or even the ssh enabled versions of 12.1.

Start out by going to the feature navigator.

www.cisco.com/go/fn

search by features you need - ssh kinda obvious and snmp v2 is rather standard I believe. Once you find out the part # and the filename you'll actually have to go get it. Thats where the service contract comes in. First problem is if you live outside the US you'll have to jump through a few hurdles.

Also Cisco had a big IOS vunerability about 2 weeks ago. If you email tac@cisco.com with your show version output, serial number and reference this vunerability(html listed above) then your entitled to get a new version of IOS.

Granted it'll the feature set you had - just patched. If you want you should look into setting up console sessions to these devices. Some people don't trust Cisco's ssh implementation as its only v1.

In short I've given you some pointers on what and where to look for IOS - just not exactly with the feature sets you need.

That contract is really holding you back.

Sorry.

Thank u for your help. Ie-mail tac@cisco.com and they manage to give free ios upgrade. Im currently downloading it. Thank u once again
