VPN Concentrator 3000 - configuring from the Internet

I have a vpn concentrator configured to allow http access on the public interface. The problem is that when I try to make changes I get a "configuration locked" error. I've been able to make changes in the past with no problems, and everything still works okay from the private interface.

Has anyone else run into this ?

http or https? maybe the 3000 doesn't allow unsecured http access thru a public int - its been ages since I set it up. I use only https, and have no problem admining it remotely.
