*** No running-config on Router ***

I upgradede a 3640 to new IOS c3640-is-mz.120-27.bin and supprising enough i can no longer see anything when i do "show running-config" but can see the start config.

I have recircled the box and that does not help. I checked the log and found out stuffs like no memory as below:

The box has 24576K/8192K bytes of memory.

is your config register set to 0x2142 ? If it is change it to 0x2102

Hi,

it might be router memory lack.

The output from error message decoder:

"1. %SYS-2-CFORKMEM: Process creation of [chars] failed (no memory). Insufficient memory was available to create a process either while trying to support additional features or because of a memory leak.

Recommended Action: A memory leak may be the cause if the system has been running for a while without changing its configuration. If you suspect a leak, copy this message exactly as it appears on the console or in the system log and report it to your Cisco te chnical support representative. Otherwise, ensure that more memory is available to support the additional features."

Software Advisor says that c3640-is-mz.120-27.bin requires 32MB of DRAM.
