DHCP requests from ethernet to TR thru router

I have a 2513 router running IOS 11.2. We have a DHCP server on the token ring side and have just added some worksations on to the ethernet side. I also have a IP FORWARD-PROTOCOL UDP 1604 and IP HELPER ADDRESS' for Citrix servers (and the DHCP SERVER) on both TR and Ethernet ports. We are having a problem with DHCP and I was wondering if there is anything I need to do to allow DHCP requests to traverse from ethernet to TR?

are you bridging or routing, I know if you are bridging there is an issue with the mac address, canonnical vs non canonnical. I'm not sure if there is an issue with routing, might try a sniffer, and look at the mac address that is being sent to the dchp server after it crosses the router.

Routing. They are two different IP subnets.

Hi,

You need to add ip helper and ip forward protocol commands only on the ethernet interface where your DHCP clients are located. Also check for any access lists on the router which may be blocking DHCP ports.
