First of all thanking all of u that spent time in going thru my issues.
Here is the story:
I knew that one of my CAT-6506 ( Cat OS 6.3(5) ) here is been converted out from Native to Hybrid Long back. When I enter dir bootflash from Sup Mode, it shows that no files on bootflash:, though "show boot " ( bootvar) shows that last reboot took the first image image from directory directory "bootflash" ( sup-bootflash) . Pelase see below.
In_Qed_Cont_6506_02> show boot
BOOT variable = bootflash:,1;
CONFIG_FILE variable = slot0:switch.cfg
Configuration register is 0x10f
ignore-config: disabled
auto-config: non-recurring, overwrite, sync disabled
console baud: 9600
boot: image specified by the boot system commands
In_Qed_Cont_6506_02> dir bootflash:
No files on device
31981568 bytes available (0 bytes used)
Now my question here is
01. Am I going to be in trouble if I reboot this switch by any chance ?
02. Why didnt I seen the Cat6000*.sup2.xxx file on sup-bootflash: ?
03. Do you think that file system format on Flash card is still on Native Mode (not CAT OS format )hence it is unable to see it ?
04. What do u advice in this scenario. ? I have already opened a TAC case while my
TAC engineer didnt given me a proper answer
05. If item#3 is TRUE, Can I format my sup-bootflash ? I hope this doesnt impact on its switching/mls/l2 process unless it gets powerdown in between .
Looks to have your Immediate help. Once again thanks for bearing me

After conversion from Native IOS to hybrid, the file systems need to be formated as they are incompatible. It is documented in step 12
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/80.shtml
Format the bootflash and then copy the CATOS files and you will be good to go
