strange behavior on GRE tunnels when cef is enabled 12.2.17a

I have a relatively large WAN composed of sites with PtP GRE tunnels. After the last major security annoucenment, we upgraded all of our routers. We recently noticed that tunnels on 2600's with cef enabled no longer show up in traceroutes. this was working fine in our previous rev of code (12.2.6c)

any ideas?
