I have an as5800 server with a backup. The back up also has an oc3. Due to telco issues, I'm not allowed to route a different 800# to this backup os3. I need to do real testing . I'm not allowed to touch the existing and production server or oc3.
I was thinking of just bring up the back up with the 0s3 which Telco has the DNIS number configured. Will this hurt/ loose any config on the AS5800 production server if I unplug the oc3 cables and move them over to backup server?

Changing cables will not modify the configuration on device, you can however copy the configuration to NVRAM so that the device can boot up with the current config even if it is reloaded.

I've done further research on this also. On both my OC3, I have lead number that I can use to test during the evening hours.
Thanks for the response.
