DSLW Peers generating congestions over WAN links

I installed a new 3475 router and setup DSLW peers to the remote sites, and I found my self removing the peers becasue it slowed down the links to a crawl.

Once I removed the Peers communications speeds were restored to normal, any ideas?

What is the bandwidth of the link(s) to the remote sites?

DLSw may forward any LLC1 traffic (e.g. IPX, Appletalk, DEC, and so on) if the corresponding routing protocol is not enable. For example, if IPX routing is not enable on the router, DLSw transports any IPX frames it receives to the remote DLSw peers. This may cause peformance problem if the WAN link is relative small to the LLC1 traffic.

I suggest you to use "DLSw icanreach sap", "DLSw icanreach mac-address, or "DLSw icannotreach sap" to filter out unneccessary filter. "DLSw icanreach sap" and "DLSw icannotreach sap" filter traffic based on protocol. "DLSw icanreach mac-address" filter traffic based on MAC addresses.
