VPN performance

Hello, we have a problem with vpn performance when using Paradox 8. When we copy files over this vpn tunnel, we get a good performance of about 90% of our total bandwidth. When we start Paradix 8 over this von tunnel, we get a performance of 15% of the total bandwidth. Does anywhone know what the problem is? Is it Paradox 8 or the cisco IOS software?

We are using 2 Cisco 828 router with VPN/FW software 12.2(8)YN

If you are referring to Corel Paradox 8, I really don't think it could have anything to do with IPSec throughput. It is possible however that an overloaded system running this application is handing data to the router at a slower rate thus resulting in lower observed throughput.
