Hello,
at the ACS server in the user setup there is a field
Client IP Address Assignment.
There I can select a static ip addresss for a client.
When I do so, does the ACS only check, if the client uses this IP address, and if not, the access is denied, and the assignment of the right IP address has to be handeled on the DHCP server or somewhere else,
or is this address then assigned to the endstation
via DHCP by the ACS Server, or can the ACS Server communicate with a DHCP Server to tell him to asign this IP address to a particular client ?
Can you please explain that?
Bye
Jo

HI,
ACS will not check that the client has this ip or not, but it will try to assign this IP to the client. DHCP will not be contacted either.
Thanks

Dear All
I really dont understand, who has to take the initiative here, Cisco or Microsoft.
I am trying with Linux, if it is not working, ACS has to be Coded again i guess.
thanks a lot
