Quick negotiation of 802.11 Wireless Clients

Here is the scenario. I have an AP 1200 with an 802.11a and 802.11b antenna. As most would guess, when you leave the a antenna range, the dual-band client falls back to the b antenna. But, when the client comes back in range with the a antenna, it will not negotiate back to the a antenna. Does anyone know of a quick way to negotiate back to the a antenna without going through the many steps of disabling and enabling your wireless nic? I have some users, who know enough to cause problems, complaining about this.

Did you try to reduce the "No. of Retries" value. The default is 32. so it will try 32 times befire it would associate to another AP.
