DPT/RPR and IGP load balancing

On a DPT/RRP ring do all routers around the ring see each other as being an identical distance apart?

If two routers on a DPT/RPR ring advertise the same IP networks to the other routers around the ring by an IGP, would these other routers see the IGP distance as equal and if configured, load balance traffic destined to these routers??

Haven't been able to find any confirmation of this on the Cisco website and I was hoping someone out there has done or seen this in action...

I haven't tried this, but you might want to take a look at this document which talks about SRP. SRP is the underlying technology used in Dynamic Packet Transport (DPT) family of products.
