E & M voice card problem

Hi

I get "In Seizure is inactive " in show voice port command for E & M card in 2600 router.

Due to this there is no communication from PBX to this voice card .

Can any one suggest why this happens and how to activate this In seizure

It means the router does not see any change in state of the M lead, so the port is considered idle.

Hi

Thanx for that .

But I swapped the cable from another working port on router .

Also swapped the cables on PBX.

In both the cases the problem remains with the same port on router.In seizure for this port always remains inactive even when some other cable of a working port is connected to it.

Check the config on both ports and confirm they are exactly the same.

Be aware of some DSP bugs in IOS prior to 12.2.6a (bug id CSCdu53333) that would cause DSP timouts and port lockups. If a reboot clears the problem, then consider putting later code on the box.

If the above makes no difference then try a new E&M VIC
