I just had a new Cisco 1721 with IOS version 12.3. The problem is that the router see themself as CDP neighbor.

Hello Kevin,
I checked for a bug but there is none describing your problem. Is the entry still there after you do a clear cdp table ?
Regards,
Georg

Hi, Georg
I disabled the cdp enable on that interface for last two days. After I saw you reply, then I enabled the cdp for F0 interface. Now I do not have cdp neighbor problem, I did clear cdp table, still OK.
That interface connects to customer LAN PCs. I will keep monitoring it for a few days.
Thank you very much , Georg.

Hi, Georg
I have been monitoring the router for last a few days. No more CDP neighbor problem. All is working OK now.

Hi Kevin,
sounds good, I started thinking that the router might have psychological problems, seeing himself as his own neighbor :)

Georg
