I am staging a system to replace another hardware platform. I am able to use DIRT to restore the system from one box to another. However, I want to refresh the database just before I make the switch. DIRT wants a clean install of Unity. Can I incrementally update the Exchange database with DIRT? Is there a better method>

The clean install check is there mostly to protect you from yourself (i.e. not accidentally wipe out a production system with an unintentional restore). You can over ride the check by using the "/dirtyrestore" command line option - this way you can do a quick restore right before the cut over without having to do a clean install.
