Polling network for 79xx serial numbers

Does anyone know of a way to poll the 79xx phones for the serial number? I can scan the network for the IP & MAC, but I don't know if there is a utility that can help me with some "Inventory control"

If you web to phones IP address, the front page has the serial # of phone.

wget could be used. It'll work for 1 phone at a time, saving page to a local file. But perhaps you could write a HTML file with a HTTP link to all your phones IPs and run wget against that to retrieve all those sites main pages. Haven't tried it myself.

Hi

There is a way to do this, with a product named Serial Grabber from http://serialgrabber.com

It will scan the phones, get the serial number and it can output it to a report.

You can download the demo for free...

It will scan your subnet and bring back the serial numbers of your 79xx phones...
