Host discovery on router token ring port

Is user tracking able to discover hosts that are connected to a router interface or is there the need the have hosts connected to a switch port, so that a CAM table is available?

We have a router's token ring interface connected to a token ring hub that makes the connection to a couple of hosts with token ring cards. The result of all this is that we don't see a single host entry in user tracking.

Other hosts that are connected to a Ethernet Switch are visible.

Thanks in advance.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/cscowork/ps563/products_tech_note09186a0080094949.shtml is a good tech tip on this. The ANI Server stores this information in the ANI database. UT discovers the host and user information in the ANI database, correlates this information, and displays it in the UT table. For UT to display user and host data, the ANI Server first must discover this data. The ANI Server can discover only those users and hosts that are actively connected to a network that is configured properly for device and logical discoveries.
