Does anybody have any experience / recommendations as to using the "set port broadcast" command. Historically trunk links on our LAN were supressed to 5% to prevent broadcast storms. However as multicast traffic has become more prevelant we have seen an increase in broadcast drops and have felt it necessary to increase or even remove supression. This has resolved the drops but does this leave us vulnerable to possible storms taking down the links.
Secondly if you leave off the "multicast enabled" keyword to this command does it mean multicast traffic can run freely?
Thanks in advance for any help.
