According to CCO transcoding resouces for CCM can be provided by IOS devices with a NM-HDV module.

How flexible is this? For instance, if I use a NM-HDV-1E1-30 configured to support 15 ISDN B channels, can I use the remaining 15 DSP's as a transcoding resource. Or is it not possible to split DSP's on the same PVDM??

Any comments would be welcome

Yes, you can use the unused DSP's for transoding/conferencing. You cannot split a single dsp, but you can use 2 dsp's on the same pvdm for different applications. This is reffered to as "DSP partitioning"
