recording garbled

Unity 4.03 and G.711 is the only codec for recording and playback. WAN is running G.729 and transcoder is done on 6608 in the central where unity is installed. We have 5 remote sites, one of the sites has audio distortion problem. The recorded name is garbled.The system prompt and message are not garbled.

What type of gateways are the remotes sites using. I had a similar problem and had to make an adjustment to the MGCP playout delay on the gateway.
