PIX and blast protocol to port 1200

Unanswered Question

I have a customer with PIX firewalls at three locations. They use a proprietary program that sends information between the stores every night using the "blast" protocol on port 1200. Since I installed these PIX firewalls, they can no longer transfer the information. How can I configure the PIX firewall to pass this kind of protocol on port 1200? Thanks in advance for any help.

You need to clarify further on this blast protocol. Is this just a protocol that uses tcp or udp port 1200. Or it is a separate protocol, other then IP.

If this is the case, then there is no way pix will udnerstand it. Pix only works on IP protocol.

If you want to open up port 1200 then the syntax is something like this

access-list 100 permit tcp host host eq 1200

access-group 100 in interface outside

(assuming we are taking about tcp/1200)
