LRE over CAT5 cabling

Hello all,

We are considering a project where we want to install LRE to overcome the 100m limitation of standard Ethernet.

The specs state that LRE can run over existing CAT1/2/3 wiring. In this case, we need to install new cabling. I would think that LRE will also work with CAT5 cabling. It has become difficult to get something less than cat5 but I want to be sure about this. Does anybody have experience with this?

Regards,

Leo

The better the cable the farther you will be able to drive your LRE connection .
