Call ID showing up as customer Billing Number

Hello,

I have setup a 1760 with a PRI to connect to the local Telco that is providing a bank of 25 DID's. I am using MGCP and Call Manager 3.3.3. I have managed to get the Call Display and Call ID working on inbound calls but any calls that originate from one of the provided 25 DID's get tagged with a Display of "Private" and Call ID of "XXX-XXXX" which happens to be the one DID the telco uses as a billing number for us. I've seen this before at another site when I didn't send the telco enough digits so it changed it to private and the billing number. I tried to send the telco 7 digits and 10 digits and this did not work. Does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening? Is this something I have to change on my side or does the Telco have to change something.

Here is the output from a Debug isdn q931 as you can see the "Display I" has a value and so does the "calling party number i"

Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A2

Standard = CCITT

Transer Capability = Speech

Transfer Mode = Circuit

Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s

Channel ID i = 0xA9838C

Exclusive, Channel 10

Display i = 'John Doe'

Calling Party Number i = 0x0081, '403XXXXXXX'

Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown

Called Party Number i = 0xA1, '990XXXX'

Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown

I had the change the "plan" and "type" to "unknown" on the Gateway settings page because I couldn't get outbound dialing working unless I set these values to unknown. If I set them back to the defaults of "CallManager" I get re-order tone when I try to dial out. This is what the debug isdn q931 looks like when the gateway settings are left at default.

I also have seen what you describe while I was testing between our CCM and our PBX (Nortel SL-100) while trying to get Name Display working. This was back when we were on 3.1(3). I can't remember the exact fix. Could you provide more info on how the gateway is defined on CCM? My VG200 is set to:

Called Numbering Plan = Unknown

Calling Numbering Plan = Private (I think unkown would be fine)

Number of digits to strip = 0

Caller ID Dn = 30776XXXXX (we use 5 digit dialing)
