Error: "User authentication application failed to start"

Hi,

I have installed vpn client on a terminal server windows 2000. When I try to connect to the pix I have a error: "User authentication application failed to start" in the dialer window before the user and password window. I can not enter the user and password because I have the error.


Can you help me ?.

When reporting an error like this please always include what VPn Client version you're using.


If this is 3.6(x) then you're hitting bug CSCeb48530, upgrading to 3.6(6)A (or anything 4.x) should resolve it.


Haven't seen this error on anything else other than 3.6 so if you're using a 4.x client and seeing this, you might want to try re-installing it.

I'm using vpn client 3.6.3B. Now I will try to install the 3.6.6A or 4.x.
