Hi, I have a 3660, I need to put a secondary IP address on one of its interfaces. However after write mem, when I reboot, everything stays but the secondary IP vanishes. Wihle booting, I get a message "secondary addresses not allowed with negotiated addresses".

Any urgent help is welcome.

You cant have a static secondary when the primary is using DHCP or another dynamic ip-allocating protocol.

Thanks, I u/s that. As I mentioned, I am not having any configuration on my router, just a pri and sec IP address on the fe0/0. still it vanishes.

I just saw a bug in 12.1.2(T) called CSCdr51651 . It says you can not have a sec IP address at all on 12.1.2(T).
