AP1200 802.11i/AES ready?

Am I correct when I read that only the AP-123x model of 1200 APs are h/w ready to support 802.11i/AES when approved? Upgrades or replacement will be required for other model 1200s?

Yes thats correct.Cisco says that it will be free software upgrade..once 802.11i is standardized.

That´s true. Cisco says that, but in Cisco Aironet 1200 Series Access Point Data Sheet, I see this


"...AES ready with full support in 2004 (802.11g version)..."


- this means 802.11i software upgrade just for 802.11g? true?
