IPCC Monitoring via Dual-NIC

Hi.. I am running CRA 3.1(2) sr3 and would like to setup VoIP Monitoring via the Dual NIC configuration. CCO has a document that states I have to play with the Registry in order to change settings for Monitoring via the second NIC.. Is this true? If so, how accurate is the documentation?

Also, if someone can point me in the direction of better VoIP Monitoring documentation, I'd appreciate it.

Hi,

Here is how to change the registry entry to use the second NIC card.

I have used my servers Hardware Address as a example, replace it with yours

Get the Hardware Address for the Second NIC Card from:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Microsoft->Windows

NT->CurrentVersion->NetworkCards->2->ServiceName

Mine is = {C96E85FA-7214-4D71-8B9F-19B7C97F44F5}

Set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Spanlink->FastCall VoIP Monitor

Server->Setup->MONTITOR DEVICE

to \Device\Packet_{C96E85FA-7214-4D71-8B9F-19B7C97F44F5}

For CRS 3.1(1)and above its \Device\Splkpc_{C96E85FA-7214-4D71-8B9F-19B7C97F44F5}

After making the change restart the following two services in the order listed:

Cisco Desktop VoIP Monitor Server.

Cisco Desktop RASCAL Monitor server.

You will need to close and then re-open your Supervisor & Agent Desktops after restarting the services.

Check out the following URL for VOIP monitor settings.

Check out the following URL for setting up dedicated VOIP server.

Thanks Yogi.. I got desperate, so I opened a TAC Case, and the SE there helped me with the exact Reg edits I needed (the same as you provided above).

It amazed me that the CCO info was not as accurate as what TAC and you provided. I wish they'd update the CCO info real soon so that others can use this information.
