We are experiencing problems in some sites (Hotels) when the laptop that tries to use BBSM has a fixed ip address configured. No problems when it uses DHCP.
Sometimes it works good but in most cases the BBSM welcome screen doesn't even appear and the trace log does not show anything.
SNMP passwords are configured on the switches (RO) and on BBSM server. Ports are mapped (only those that conect to a room).
BBSM server is a Dell 2650 (BBSM 5.2 Build 2.0 Latest Patch MS03-039), internal and external NIC's configured ok and route back to BBSM outside interface also configured on the PIX firewall.
Please help, are there any tips to avoid this?
