Unable to resolve failover partner to FDQN

I saw a few remarks about this but only to the extent that it shouldnt say failover partner and to check the name resolution. I have a stand alone system and the desktop is going to the ip address of the unity box and administrator and then tying to go into a user with this problem. They of course are on a different domain. How do I fix the name resolution problem. The DNS folks added to the DNS.

Open a TAC case and request 4.0(3)ES51. That ES has the fix for this issue.

Of course I am assuming this is 4.0(3) since it was the first verion to display the issue as far as I am aware. :-)
