QOS on Catalyst 4506 sup2 plus (ios 12.1.20EW)

Hello,


Sommebody know if there are QOS on Catalyst 4500 Sup2 plus (ios) like "limiting de bandwidth" from a network or a protocol from this network.


I'd like reserve 5% on ouput bandwidth (5% of fastethernet 100M: 5M) to a vlan for the internet.

Yes, policying is supported on the Catalyst 4500.

Policing will "limit" the bw for that vlan to 5 meg.


If you want minimum bandwidth of 5m and no upper limit, it is not easily done. However, you make all packets of the vlan marked certain DSCP so that it gets its own queue. You can then configure "sharing" for that queue.
