Is per packet load balancing on 6509 possible?

I have a customer who currently currently uses a number of 7200 series routers in their network Core who uses per packet load balancing. They are currently testing in the hope to replace the 7200s with 4 x 6509 switches supII + MSFC running hybrid CatOS. Even though they are running with OSPF and 4 equal cost paths in the routing table the traffic floes one way. I have suggested that this is expected as a CEF flow wire speed routing. Customer states that some links flow fully utilised and then suffer congestion. Suggest tweaking metrics depending on the flow of traffic. However, customer wants to know definitively whether per packet load balancing can be done on 6509? I need to answer whether this can be done despite me thinkg this wouldnot be recommended as flow should be through PFC and not MSFC. Suggested that as a Core switches used as a routing backone should run Native IOS.

CEF can do per-packet load balancing, and is supported on the 6500 series. So, the answer is yes.
