Support for DNS NAT Loopback.

I've noticed that on some of the low end non-cisco dsl/cable routers that there is support for DNS NAT Loopback where:

A router is performing NAT for a web server (internal ip - 10.10.10.10, external nat - 122.1.1.1), the DNS entry will refer to 122.1.1.1...

Another user on the same 10 intranet wants to access the website via the DNS name. From our experience, this doesn't work unless you use split DNS or add an entry to the internal users hosts file.

Do cisco routers support this functionality, if so, how can this be configured?

Hi

Unfortunately this is not fully supported but you can give the shot with the following:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk361/technologies_tech_note09186a0080094430.shtml

Hope this is useful for you.
