I have been using Hyperterminal built into Windows to configure and upgrade our switches and routers. Any suggestions on a better terminal software to use???
Thanks,

My favorite of all time so far was CRT by VanDyke software, or secureCRT if you want to use SSL. There is the ability to use the COM port in addition to the normal telnet functionality.

I use a Mac also, check out JellyfiSSH. It allows you to store different setups for each of your routers/switchs and choose telnet or ssh. For a console connection I use Zterm with a USB to serial adapter. Works great. Plus the Mac has TFTP builtin.
