I tried to update this signature on my VMS, but it hangs, won't allow me to finish. Please advice!

I don't have good experience with Cisco support on CiscoWorks, not on the whole CiscoWorks common service but VMS. The S85 did not go, the 12204-04 patch Cisco engineer recommended killed VMS, some workarounds did not work either but have more damages on CiscoWorks and VMS. After three days frustration, I gave up. The end of the story is I have to reinstall the whole thing, and some configuration changes. By the way, at least VMS developers are in India, I had the hard time to talk to them.

I experienced a similar problem with CiscoWorks VMS. I reapplied VMS 2.2 Update 1 and the IDS MC v1.2.3. Then, I applied the new update rollup CSCsa12241-4, after which the Signature successfull applied to VMS.
