Netflow flow-export on 3750G switches for accounting purposes

We require traffic details on a per IP basis (not on a port basis) in our data center.

We are using Netflow export feature for accounting purposes. We currently route the traffic through a 2691 router using a dot1q trunk to C3550 switches are used to provide ports but performance on the router is a problem.

For that reason, we planned to install nice C3750 Gigabit switches with EMI and let those route the traffic.

Actually we can not install the C3750G Switches as Netflow is not available and Cat 4k and Cat 6K exceed the budget limits.

What to do? We really have a problem here and we have to solve it.

(There was a similar case before for c3550 but there was no solution).

Suggestions apprechiated.

The CAT3750/3550 does not support Netflow. The architecture(hardware switching) of most of our switches does not support Netflow natively.

CAT4500 with Sup5 can support Netflow with an optional Netflow daughter card. CAT6500 has PFC for Netflow. So if Netflow and performance are a criteria for you, you might want to consider these switches.
