Solved: VPN Failed to establish a secure connection to the security gateway

My VPN connection has been working but now after several hours I cannot connect.

My LAN is working. (Windows Server 2003)

The app:

Cisco Systems VPN Client

The error message:

Initiating TCP to 209.189.224.138, port 10000...

Contacting the gateway at 209.189.224.138...

Failed to establish a secure connection to the security gateway.

What could be the problem?

hey greg,

on the tunnel properties -> transport mode, click ipsec over UDP and try connecting.. I think right now you are connecting through TCP 10000.
