If I have a site say with 2 routers, 1 a cisco that is the default gateway for the clients, the other a dsl, a route is pointed from the cisco to the dsl, when the traffic is sent back to the remote site, the first thing it will hit will be the dsl router. Would this then reach back to the pc beacuse its on the same lan ?

we are talking when the packet is coming back from you remote site and If your DSL router has a route to the destination n/w i.e you LAN it will route that to your Cisco router and since the cisco has this lan as directly connected subnet, it will be routed to the PC.
