i want to know about Normal link puls(NLP) and FLP...

which basic mechanisum used by switch for negotiation of speed and duplex matching?1

as I understand it, NLP is just a basic Ethernet connectivity check used for 10BaseT (non-autonegotiate) devices, while FLP is an enhanced version of NLP, used in autonegotiation. Whenever autonegotiation is involved, FLP's are being sent. When a FLP capable device detects NLP's from a 10BaseT device, it stops sending FLP's and reverts to NLP's.
