Connecting modem to Console port on PIX

Hi there

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to connect a modem to the console port of a PIX for out-of-band access.

I have configured a modem to autoanswer and connected it to a router's console port and am able to get to a prompt and type commands, but not on the PIX.

I need to make some changes to a PIX in another country and require some sort of connectivity should I lose contact via the VPN tunnel.

Any ideas/suggestions

There is nothing you need to do on the PIX, follow this document

You should be able to get it working.
