outbound CLID problems

Hello,

I have a problem with dialing from 7970 > MGCP GW PRI > NortelPBX > PSTN. The called party does not see my number. Sometimes is shows up as unuvailable number, and sometimes it shows up as the main number to our company. Very strange. Below is a q.931 debug from the gateway to the Noretl PBX. Here's the kicker, if I call a phone attached to the Nortel PBX my name and 5 digit extension appears normally. If I call the PSTN from my Nortel PBX phone, CLID is passed through normally as well. The PBX guys won't fess up to anything as they say nothing has changed which could possibly effect that. This all used to work just fine, and then something happened.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Check on the gateway, there is a field called "Caller ID DN". I have a similar setup in that my calls procees from CCM>>MGCP Gateway>>Nortel PBX>>PRI Trunks>>PSTN. I also use 5 digit dialing on both CCM and the Nortel PBX. In the Caller ID DN field I have it set to: 30776XXXXX. That way outbound calls pass as 10 digits to the PSTN.

Larry,

Thanks for the suggestion. Just tried that and it didn't work. There was no change when calling the PSTN, but when I dialed my nortel phone with 5 didgits, it showed all 10 digits instead of just 5 digits as an internal call would. That was definitely worth a try.
