Hi,
We have WS-SUP720-BASE, both the RP & SP memory is 512MB. We want to upgrade it to both 1GB. Can you tell me which part number and how many QTY we must be order for both RP & SP memory upgrade?

Hi,
So for one WS-SUP720-BASE, we need 2 MEM-MSFC3-1GB, one for RP and one for SP, is it correct?

The description of the line item,MEM-MSFC3-1GB says
"1GB Mem for Sup720, Sup720-3B and MSFC2A"
So that should take care of the SP (sup engine) but doesnt look like MSFC3 is supported.
At the same time, MEM-MSFC2-512MB=, the description shows, MSFC3.
"Catalyst 6500 512MB DRAM on the MSFC2 or SUP720 MSFC3, Spare"

Jackson,
Yes, You need 2 MEM-MSFC3-1GB in order to upgrade both the SP and RP to 1 GB each. I used the 2 of them when I upgraded my Sup 720 as there are 2 DRAM dimm slots on SUP 720 and it requires MEM-MSFC3-1GB in each DIMM in order to upgrade the RP and SP both to 1 GB.
