Hi,
I've been working with Cisco 1310 bridges and 1231 APs. So far, I have used the browser to configure the bridges. I'm wondering is there a need to know the IOS commands to configure them. Does the IOS give more features to configure?. Or knowing IOS has any special advantage over configuring through browser?
I'd appreciate if someone elucidate me on this.
Thank you,
Janakan Rajendran.

For general configuration purposes the WebUI usually is sufficient. There usually are commands that are not in the WebUI that can be enabled via the cli. You can usually get more granularity from the cli than the webUI.

Hi,
Thank for your response. Where do I find those special commands? Would you give me an example of such a command that can't be done with webUI?
Thx again,
Janakan Rajendran.
