I have setup an IPSEC VPN between two locations using an 877 at a small branch office, and 871 at the main head office.
I have a strange problem in that although I can ping hosts at both locations over the VPN, I have a problem with telnet sessions.
I am trying to log into a legacy character based accounting application on a Linux server using telnet. I enter username and password; the log on is successful, but then on trying to enter the application (lots of data normally sent to screen), the session hangs.
A similar problem affects RDP traffic when trying to establish Remote Desktop sessions over the VPN. The session connects, I get a black screen but no opportunity to enter logon credentials.
Could this be related to an MTU problem?
Any information would be much appreciated.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I guess not!
Well, I fixed this myself after some playing.
I removed a 'no ip unreachables' on my vlan1. VPN works fine now :-)
