Hi!

I read "CRC Troubleshooting Guide for ATM Interfaces", for full article please click on the following link.

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/121/crc_tshooting.html

The following statement taken from the article.

"The occurrence of errors and the input and output difference should not exceed one percent (1.0 %) of traffic on the interface. "

My question is how to find out the traffic on the interface ?

I new in networking please help me to understant more. thanks

Best Regards

There are many network monitoring programs out there. Depending on your infrastructure, needs, etc., it may be worth investing some dollars in an enterprise network monitoring solution. If what you're looking for is simply the traffic on an interface, there is a free solution called MRTG (Multi Router Traffic Grapher). Please see the link below. For very basic information, you can do a show interface command on the router to see packets/bytes in/out.

Hope this helps.
