Hi

I am configuring a demo system on a 2811 router with bri interface. I would like to avoid prefix for an outside line. The local phones are numbered 201 to 236.

Right now the dial-peer conf is

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern [2-9].......

incoming called number xxxxxx

direct-inward-dial

port 0/0/0

This works ok. I gets and recieves calls, as log as i dont try to call numbers starting with 201 to 236.

Is there any way to tell the router that it should consider calls to numbers longer than 3 digits to be to the outside world ?

Dear Per

What you need to do is to create two new dial peers with the following destination patterns pointing at the same voice port

destination-pattern 2[0-2]..T

destination-pattern 23[0-6].T

note the T which provides the timeout.

This may make internal calls from analog phones to have long post dial delay, as you are now having to wait for the 4th digit. You can minimise this by the command on the voice port for analogue phones.

But not the function :-(

No mattter what i do, as soon as 202 is dialed, i get a local phone.

debug voip dialpeer shows Partial Matches (1) as soon as the first digit is processed.

Why dosent it consider the other dial-peers stating with 2 ?

Is is totaly imposible to get this to funktion ?
